
Company: DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital – Portland, Oregon
Role: In-house, full-time graphic designer
Context: Dogtoberfest, Portland’s biggest dog wash, is a long-standing annual event that raises funds to support the DoveLewis Blood Bank. Event attendees can purchase a dog wash with nail trim, listen to live music, enjoy a pint or two of beer, and visit a variety of pet-specific vendor booths. Donations and proceeds from the event support the Blood Bank, which provides dogs and cats with more than 500 lifesaving blood transfusions each year.
Audience: Supporters and volunteers of the DoveLewis Blood Bank, Portland dog owners and beer and festive enthusiasts.
Responsibility: Conceptualize and design a new identity and visual campaign for the event. Project manage and produce consistent print and digital materials, while collaborating with the events manager, fundraising team, copywriter, and print and mail vendors.
Awards:
The Dogtoberfest brand and campaign materials won recognition and a bronze medal at the VETTYs, the 2017 North American Veterinary Community Conference awards event.
